The Promise:
The Devens community has been carefully planned to create a work environment where corporate residents draw strength from each other and prosper from their surroundings. From mature corporations to start-ups, satellite locations to headquarters, Devens offers 8 million square feet of space. In addition, a single board comprised of 12 local people manages development permitting at Devens. All applications are acted on in less than 75 days; many are completed in only 45 days. No other park can match the project flexibility and approval speed that Devens has to offer.

We are pleased to provide the following information and resources related to the Nashua River Trail and Native Pollinator Meadow on MacPherson Road, Devens within the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge.

Project Summary: This 2022-2023 project involved the installation of the Nashua River Trail, a quarter mile path along the Nashua River, and the native pollinator meadow along MacPherson Road, both within the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge. The project is a partnership with the Town of Ayer, Devens Enterprise Commission, and the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge with support from Mass Development, Friends of Woodlands and Waters, and numerous volunteers. Funding for the interpretive signs and materials for meadow establishment was received through a Community Grant from the Nashua Rivers Wild and Scenic Stewardship Council.

These partners have also collaborated to host the Earth Day Open Streets and Greenways Event on MacPherson Road in 2022 and 2023.
