We are pleased to provide the following information and resources related to the Nashua River Trail and Native Pollinator Meadow on MacPherson Road, Devens within the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge.
Project Summary: This 2022-2023 project involved the installation of the Nashua River Trail, a quarter mile path along the Nashua River, and the native pollinator meadow along MacPherson Road, both within the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge. The project is a partnership with the Town of Ayer, Devens Enterprise Commission, and the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge with support from Mass Development, Friends of Woodlands and Waters, and numerous volunteers. Funding for the interpretive signs and materials for meadow establishment was received through a Community Grant from the Nashua Rivers Wild and Scenic Stewardship Council.
These partners have also collaborated to host the Earth Day Open Streets and Greenways Event on MacPherson Road in 2022 and 2023.
